Bought off Ebay with presentable but clearly "well used" bodywork, sound mechanical bits and mostly ok under-body structure. Essentially a good base on which to construct a "go anywhere" vehicle that can cope with the rigours off long distances on-road as well as challenging off-road conditions. Being environmentally aware we will be running the vehicle, christened Lenny by the previous owner, on bio-fuel. We are currently experimenting with straight vegetable oil - basically cooking oil as bought from Tesco's etc and also recycling waste oil. This comes from various food preparation outlets locally before being filtered and cleaned. So far the results are very encouraging. If we can run on mostly waste oil then we will we not need to rely on conventional diesel and also help local businesses dispose of their waste. Charity - We are attempting to raise money for the Ellen MacArthurt Trust, which take young people aged between 8-18 sailing to help them regain their confidence, on their way to recovery from cancer, leukaemia and other serious illness. Sponsorship. We are actively looking for sponsors. These are of two types corporate and individual. Corporate sponsors can help us with preparing the vehicle, rally entrance costs and direct expedition costs, spares ferry crossings etc. If you could help us we will display your advertising logo on our vehicle and promote you at the various events we will be attending throughout the year.
